Remember with the so-called (not) elite, (they are pariahs) these guys plan hundreds of years ahead. Why else have they been pushing EVs on us? Why else have we been seeing bicycle tracks popping up all over the place? It's all so well ahead you didn't even notice. Gradualism is the name of their game. Their changes come via 'problem, reaction, solution'. As in they create a problem, we react, they provide a solution'. The intent is for you to own nothing (while being 'happy'), be living in a 15 minute city, heavily surveilled, and riding a bicycle. Or driving for 15 minutes in your EV.
